As one of the country's most important cultural institutions, the Austrian Federal Theatres attach great importance to promoting young talent - not only on stage, but also behind the scenes.
The new apprenticeship initiative of the Austrian Federal Theatres and the founding of the Academy for Theater Crafts will in future offer young people the opportunity to gain a sound professional qualification in an inspiring environment.
The aim of the academy is to provide young people with theater-specific and versatile general training opportunities in addition to traditional vocational training, preparing them for a successful professional future in one of the country's most diverse and creative cultural sectors. With commitment, creativity and team spirit, our apprentices can not only complete vocational training, but also become part of a dynamic network steeped in tradition.
The Akademie für Theaterhandwerk is a place for all employees and also offers training and further education opportunities for all employees of the Austrian Federal Theatres - regardless of their training or area of work. Our aim is to provide a platform for further education, creative exchange and the promotion of networking within our companies.
The Academy for Theater Craftsmanship is an important component of the Austrian training landscape in the cultural sector. The Austrian Federal Theatres see themselves as industry leaders, where not only art is performed at the highest level, but where further developments and innovations are also promoted as part of the cultural policy mandate. The Academy for Theatre Craftsmanship is a unique training program that cultivates the tradition of Austrian theater history and is future-oriented.
