250th anniversary oft he Burgtheater

Ein verwittertes, teilweise eingerissenes Plakat ist schräg auf einer metallischen, industriell wirkenden Oberfläche angebracht. Das Plakat zeigt in großen, serifenbetonten Buchstaben das Wort „BURGTHEATER“. Darüber befindet sich eine gelbe Krone als grafisches Element. Am unteren Rand verläuft ein dekoratives Muster, das an ein griechisches Schlüsselmotiv erinnert. Links im Bild verläuft ein schwarzes Rohr senkrecht, das einen Teil des Plakats verdeckt. Die Hintergrundfläche ist stark abgenutzt, mit sichtbaren Kratzern, Rostflecken und abgeblätterter Farbe.

The Burgtheater is one of the oldest national theatres in Europe and one of the largest spoken-word theatres in Western Europe. With its three associated venues, the Akademietheater, Kasino and Vestibül, it is considered the most important theatre in the country, combining tradition, diversity and progress, and plays an essential role in the German-speaking theatre landscape.
